I have held a love for painting and especially watercolor since I was a teenager. And since that time, I have been working on technique and proficiency. Over the past couple of years, I feel that I have finally developed my own style - bold, colorful, and liquid.

Since I majored in Biology in college, I had the opportunity to work on amazing projects (bobcat reintroduction in GA, stream biodiversity comparisons in MT, fish behavior studies in SC, and my master's thesis work - population dynamics of red-spotted newts in WV). After graduating, the only work I found was in medical research. It was horribly gruesome and now, I feel I must educate people of the unspeakable acts that occur behind the closed doors of animal research centers.

I'm currently getting my PhD in Science Education. I want to teach students about our reliance on the health of our environment in hopes that people will understand and revere our connection to the natural world.
